Hex Nuts are standard six-sided nuts used with UNC-threaded bolts and cap screws for general fastening applications, offered in common SAE and ASTM grades for dependable performance in machinery, construction, and everyday assemblies. Heavy Hex Nuts, by contrast, feature a larger width and height to provide greater bearing surface and strength, and are typically supplied in higher-strength grades for use with structural bolts, anchor rods, and high-strength studs. Flanged nuts are also available for applications requiring an integrated washer surface and improved load distribution. Also available in Stainless Steel.
